Tickle My Tummy Tuesday: Breakfast Roll-Ups

I'm hoping to get back into the routine of Tickle My Tummy Tuesday. I enjoy trying new recipes, especially kid-friendly recipes.

I cooked these Breakfast Roll-Ups Sunday evening. The plan was to make them for, well, breakfast, but that didn't happen! So we had them for an early dinner on Sunday!

These are super-easy and so delicious. We made 16, and there weren't any leftover!

Ingredients {for 8}:

1 can Pillsbury Cresent Rolls
6 eggs, scrambled
8 fully-cooked sausage links
4 slices of American cheese, cut in half {so, 8 halves}
1 egg, uncooked

Step One:

Scramble your eggs!

Step Two:

Unroll Cresent Rolls on a baking pan.

Step Three:

Layer the cheese, a spoon of eggs, and a breakfast sausage on the cresent roll.

Step Four:

Roll the Cresent Rolls up!

Step Five:

Spoon or use a brush to rub the cresent rolls with the uncooked egg. Add salt and pepper.

Step Six:

Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown!

I hope you try these yummy Breakfast Roll-Ups. If you do, let me know in the comments. I would love for you to link up your kid-friendly recipes! I'm always looking for something new to try.

Tickle My Tummy Tuesday: Zesty Baked Potatoes

My kids love to have Zesty Baked Potatoes for supper at night. They are so easy to fix, and they taste delicious! All you need are the following ingredients:

  • 1 bottle Zesty Italian Dressing
  • 1 package chicken breasts or tenders
  • enough jumbo baking potatoes for your family
  • butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese

Wash the potatoes and pierce with a fork. Wrap in foil and stick in the oven at 400 degrees for about an hour, or until a fork pokes through them easily.

Meanwhile, boil your chicken. Shred it, and add the entire bottle of Zesty Italian Dressing, mixing well.

Let your children put whatever toppings they want on their potatoes, including the zesty chicken! Enjoy!

{I'm sorry there are no pictures to accompany this post. We are getting ready to go home to Louisiana, so I have been busy cleaning and packing this rental house!}

This is such a simple recipe that all children will love! What do you like on your baked potatoes?

Also linking up with Blogging Through the Alphabet - our last post! It's kind of sad... I'll miss coming up with ideas!

Tickle My Tummy Tuesday: Cake Mix Cookies!

My sister-in-law and good friend, Abby over at Little House on the Turnrow, and I are co-hosting a new link-up - Tickle My Tummy Tuesday! This link-up will be for any kid-friendly recipes - meals, snacks, drinks, things kids can make themselves...any recipe that kids will love!

This week, I'm sharing a simple recipe that my kids love - Cake Mix Cookies! These cookies are so easy - only 3 ingredients necessary - and so versatile - you can add anything! Here is what you need:

1 box of cake mix, any flavor - we used "Devil's Food"
2 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
*optional : chocolate chips, nuts, M&Ms, peanut butter chips, frosting

Simply mix all the ingredients together, drop onto a cookie sheet, and bake at 350 for around 10 minutes. These cake mix cookies are always soft and chewy - yum! The best part is the kids can totally make these by themselves.

If you've ever made these, leave me a comment telling me which cake mix you used and which goodies you added!
