Tot School: G is for Garden

We kept this week's Tot School super simple. Our theme was G is for Garden (from Moms Have Questions Too toddler curriculum). We had a blast learning about garden vegetables!

I printed off some images of fruits and vegetables in four different colors. Then I colored a chart for Zeke to match the produce to the color. He loves gluing and really enjoyed this simple activity!

I also made a capital and lowercase letter sorting chart for him using dot stickers. I wrote capital G's on some dots and lowercase g's on others. He did okay with this. Visual discrimination is a skill we have been working on since last April, and he is continually getting better.

I made a "garden" for Zeke to plant fruits and vegetables. I gave him colored dot stickers and he had to put that many stickers in each garden row. I precut the sticker strips into the correct number of dots, which helped a lot with this activity!

We also did worksheets from the toddler curriculum. We worked on patterns and sorting:

He put G stickers on this worksheet. I have tons of alphabet stickers!

He worked on tracing lines.

He glued shapes to their matching shadows and size sequenced corn.

Of course, we used dot markers on our letters!

He stuck garden vegetable stickers to his letters.

He colored vegetables the correct colors.

He put dot stickers in each row instead of coloring them.

And that was our G is for Garden week!
