We had a really easy and relaxed week with the E is for Elephant theme. I had several more activities I was planning to do, but we didn't get around to them all. I'm using the Moms Have Questions Too toddler curriculum as well as my own worksheets and tot tray ideas. Zeke was 24 months old when he completed this week.
Feed the Elephants!
I made these cute little elephant number cards for Zeke to use. We used brown linking cubes to be "peanuts" and he had to feed the elephant the correct number of peanuts. He doesn't recognize his numbers yet, so I tell him the number and we count together.
Color sorting in an "e"gg carton!
I put colored dot stickers inside of an old egg carton and Zeke used the colored linking cubes (we use these all the time!) and matched them to the dots.
Letter E sort!
He also sorted E's by capital and lowercase. I simply wrote some capital and lowercase E's on colored dot stickers and made a quick chart for Zeke to use. He did a pretty good job with this!
Gluing Elephants
He loves anything to do with a glue stick, and when I couldn't find any elephant stickers to use on the E and e worksheets, I just printed out some clip art elephants and let him glue them!
