We had a very full and successful homeschool week! Silas and Titus rowed the book, "How To Make An Apple Pie and See The World." It was so much fun to go back to Five in a Row, and the boys both expressed how much more they enjoyed school this week. Titus told me, "If it wasn't for language arts and math, I would love school." You can read all about our row HERE. We made apple volcanoes, apple pie, and an apple pie craft among many other things. We dissected apples. We talked about measuring with dry and liquid ingredients. We also read about Johnny Appleseed!
Mercie also did well in her schoolwork. She completed a week of From Adam to Us, Apologia General Science, Learning Language Arts Through Literature, and Principles of Mathematics. She started reading "The Mysterious Benedict Society" for language arts and loves it so far! She also did some artwork using chalk pastels.
She also did an experiment with Ivory soap.
Monday we went bowling with my sister and her four kids and my parents. It was a lot of fun, but I didn't get a single picture! I bowled an 86 which isn't too good, but I haven't been in so long!
Tuesday night Eli had a basketball game about an hour and half away. We have had mostly home games this year due to COVID, and the tickets have been limited to two per player. The kids have been begging to go to a game, and the school we went to Tuesday was huge so they didn't put a limit on tickets. My dad took me, Mercie, Silas, and Titus to the game while my mom watched Zeke for the night. It was a great game, and we won 49-59. Eli scored a three pointer and both of his free throws and played great defense.
Wednesday night was TeamKID. I teach the toddlers through kindergartners, which is really fun but also really exhausting. Mercie went to Acteens and Eli had youth class.
Tonight Eli has another basketball game, this time at home. My mom and I are going to use our two tickets to go while my dad sits with the kids.
Zeke learned that K is for Kitchen in his tot school this week. I'll be getting his week posted soon. He had several fun tot trays like sorting plastic utensils and pushing toothpicks into a sugar canister.
