Rodeo Bible Camp
The kids left for Rodeo Bible Camp last Thursday and we picked them up Sunday. All 46 of the campers put on a rodeo that afternoon! They had barrel-racing, bull riding, and breakaway roping. Mercie, of course, went for the barrel-racing and Silas and Titus went for the bull riding instruction.
Mercie won first place in the Advanced Barrels category! She ran a 16.7 second barrel run and did amazing. Her corners were tight and clean and her horse was fast! It was the best run she's ever made. She won a huge bucket full of prizes - new spur straps, a saddle cover, reins, a breast collar, and the bucket itself.
Silas won second place in the Bull Riding category! He was super excited and won a gift card to Cavender's (our favorite western-wear store!). He is hooked on bull riding now. Titus also had fun riding the bulls and learned quite a bit!

They had the best time and can't wait to go back again next year.
Vacation Bible School
Our church had VBS this week. Our theme is "Spark!" and I'm the director. I've had a busy week!! We've had tons of fun singing songs, making crafts, playing games, learning about God, and more! Our Family Night is Sunday night where we will show the parents what we've learned and then have a homemade ice cream supper!
Mercie is helping with music and Zeke just wanders around.
Bird Feather Painting
I'm trying to do a book and a craft each with Zeke this summer. Our book this week was "Birds" by Kevin Henkles. This is actually one of my favorite picture books! We did an entire Tot School unit on this book last year. You can read about his craft here.
Play Dates with Daniel
Mikaela is going to be home the entire month of June, so I'm really excited about all of the playdates that Zeke will get to have with Daniel. Monday they came over and played on the porch, played with the toys inside, ate Mickey Mouse ice creams (and made a huge mess!), and swam in the little pool. They had such a fun time together!
Summer Movie
A local church is sponsoring a free movie and snack bag each Thursday this summer for the kids. I took Mercie, Silas, and Titus along with my sister's kids, Laylah, Sawyer, and Liam. They played VeggieTales Jonah. It was a pretty funny movie! The kids had a great time. This is such a fun thing for the local kids.
