As a Charlotte Mason homeschooling family, we were very excited to have the chance to review Homeschool Copywork. Homeschool Copywork generously provided me with a Lifetime Membership!

What is Homeschool Copywork?

Homeschool Copywork is a website with full length copywork books available to download and print. The copywork e-books include thematic copywork quotes from a variety of resources and at least two different size line styles with manuscript or cursive options. There are 54 e-books available for instant download on Homeschool Copywork, and the Lifetime Membership {$45} guarantees access to any future e-books that are added, as well.

The categories available are:

  • Artist Studies {with full-color prints of paintings}
  • Hymn Studies
  • Quotes of Composers
  • Poetry Copywork
  • Presidential Quotes
  • Quotes of Inventors
  • Quotes of Scientists
  • Short Stories
  • 18th Century Author Copywork
  • Christian Worldview Copywork
  • Bible Verse Copywork
  • Preschool & Early Elementary Copywork
  • Holiday & Special Occasion Copywork
  • Notebooking Pages & Coloring Books

As you can see, there is a wide variety of copywork on this website! In case you're wondering what copywork is, the author has a wonderful explanation HERE. In summary, copywork is more than just handwriting practice. It incorporates spelling, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. With Homeschool Copywork, your child be absorbing some wonderful information, famous quotes and encouraging scripture.

How did we use Homeschool Copywork?

We are using Homeschool Copywork in several ways. First, my almost 6 year old son and almost 4 year son are using the Preschool Copywork books - "My Animal Copywork" and "My Transportation Copywork".

I absolutely love the pages in these e-books. It is the perfect amount of copywork for this age group - just a short phrase, such as "A is for Alligator" - with a picture to color. My boys love to color, so these books had extra appeal to them! As soon as they wrote {or traced} the phrase, they could color! Here are examples of their work.

I also used the Claude Monet Copywork for my older kids, as we were reading about Monet. I was very pleased with the different line sizes available, as I had an 8, 10, and 13 year old using this e-book. I could pick the right sized lines for each child and print only what pages I needed. There is a small picture of the artist or a painting on each page, which is nice.

I printed a few pages from the "Character Building Copywork" for my 10 year old son, as he could always use extra handwriting practice! Plus, I think all children will benefit from copying character building scripture!

What did we think of Homeschool Copywork?

We love Homeschool Copywork! It is so nice to have such a variety and abundance of copywork in one place! There are so many e-books to choose from. I really hope the author creates some more Preschool copywork, because my boys are flying through these pages! I know we will use Homeschool Copywork in our homeschool for a long time! At $45, the Lifetime Membership is a great bargain and will be an asset to your homeschool!
